after appearing in Loving You, Hart's career took off. she made 10 films in 5 years, the most successful of which was Where the Boys Are (1960) with George Hamilton and Connie Francis. (incidentally, this is a personal favourite of mine. if you like beach movies, you should really get your hands on a copy of this. it's hilarious.)
(with George Hamilton)
then in 1963, at the age of 25 and the height of her burgeoning career, Dolores entered a convent and in 1970, took her final vows to become a nun. she is now Mother Dolores at the Convent of Regina Laudis in Bethlehem Connecticut.
Oh, I like her as well... a wonderful post. I think she was in a movie with Montgomery Clift, of which I am forgetting the name of, but it's one of my favorites...

ReplyDeleteI loved the movie "Where the Boys Are!" I wonder why she became a nun? How very interesting..
ReplyDeleteLovely pics !
ReplyDeleteEWTN has had her on and she has told about her vocation - it is really quite beautiful. I think to have become a Catholic at 9 was pretty amazing and probably the call on her life was as early as that. She is totally lovely when she speaks.
