My friends, this has been a long and tiresome week for me. And though I hope it has been sweeter to you than to me, I am so glad to see it end. Today is friday (Hoorah!) and more than that, it is to be the warmest weekend yet, here in my fine city. This evening I will be donning a dress and pretty shoes, and hitting the patio with a group of dear friends for a little wine, conversation and general merriment!
Outside my office, the sun is beaming in the sky and wee little sparrows are hopping about the smokers' corner. I am reminded of this beautiful song:
