perhaps it's because i'm reading
Twilight right now [
that's right. i'm thirty three years old and reading a book about vampires in highschool. and enjoying it too, much to my chagrin.] but my mind keeps wandering to the cool, damp stillness of the forest. all i can think of is driving out to the woods and wandering into them. living in the big city has it's drawbacks. alas, i won't be feeling the soft earth beneath my feet until June.
in the meantime, i shall be content to lose myself in the paintings of Rene Lynch, whose series entitled
The Secret Life of the Forest calls the viewer back into the woods of adolescence...

"Secret Life of the Forest (Visitor)" love this one!!! Just the way she stands- her foot just a bit sideways and the owl, don't even get me going.
What neat pictures!! Thanks for sharing :) :) I grew up in the city, but I lived in the country during college..it's definitely a different world, and has its draws and its flaws...but I think I'd still pick the city over the country if pushed to choose :)
Hard to get to the forest living in the city!! I used to be afraid to walk in the woods...now I think I would enjoy it....although not quite after reading about vampires!
I love the one with the girl and the flying owl.
