i suppose it's the weather, or the fact that it's been almost a year since my last vacation, but i cannot stop daydreaming about my upcoming camping trip. it's all i think about, and it's still a month away! i just can't wait to put everything i need in my trusty backpack and hit the road. backpacking is something i once did for months at a time, but now that i'm older and have a condo, job, dog and cat, i cherish whatever time i can get away for, even if it's just a few precious days.
we were originally planning on going with some friends, but it's looking like it'll just be my husband and i, alone in the woods. i look forward to moments like these:

Darling photos.
I have never been camping other than with a group of Cub Scouts out in the woods. You might know, the raccoon found my tent and kept scratching at the opening. Of course, I'm screaming and kicking trying to get the darn thing away. Seems the boys thought it would be fun to hide some "treats" in my tent for just that purpose! I can still hear them laughing!!
