i've had some inquiries about the photo of the insanely beautiful dress in my Jean Patchett post, so i thought i'd take a moment to answer...
the photo was taken by German fashion photographer Regina Relang, who artfully recorded the haute couture world of the 1950s and 60s. (first 7 photos shown here are hers)
the dress was made by French designer Jacques Griffe, and was actually offered as a Vogue Pattern, so if you're handy with a sewing machine, perhaps you could track down a copy and make one for yourself! here are some more of Jacque's designs:
