the countdown begins...

just three days left until my husband and i embark on our five day outdoor odyssey in bear country! i've mentioned this trip before (here and here) and i don't mean to go on about it, but i am so bloody excited i could spit! i can almost taste the banana boats!

BANANA BOATS

you'll need:
bananas
plain milk chocolate
tin foil
spoon

peel back a one inch or so wide panel of banana skin.
scoop out a wee ditch in the banana and place four or five chocolate squares inside.
top with however much of the scooped out banana you can squish back in.
replace the peel panel and wrap banana in tin foil.
place on campfire coals or grill for five minutes.
open and devour the resulting chocolatey-banana mushy magnificence with a spoon.
mmm. banana boats
:P

Have fun! We're going camping w/the kids this summer a few times. Nothing adventurous, although any camping with small children is adventurous. We will definitley be making banana boats this year!
